The NRC welcomes Public Involvement in Rulemaking, and invites the public to comment on proposed rules and policies, licensing actions, and draft technical documents. We announce public comment opportunities in the Federal Register and on our Documents for Comment page.
Guidance
Regulatory guides are issued in 10 divisions and are intended to aid licensees in implementing regulations. A complete list of guides most applicable to safeguards are in Division 5, Material and Plant Protection.
Web (HTML) versions of some regulatory guides are available for viewing or downloading. Those available are highlighted in blue in the index to our Regulatory Guides Document Collection. All active final and draft guides are also available in NRC's Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS).
LISTING BY SUBJECT
The following lists regulatory guidance documents under physical protection subjects or topics. Note that some regulatory guides are labeled Official Use Only-Security Related Information, Safeguards Information, or Classified. Any Regulatory Guidance labeled with of these markings will not be listed. This list has been compiled, in part based on NUREG/BR-0252.
